Watkins Glen boys win state crown

CHENANGO VALLEY-The Watkins Glen boys varsity cross country team won the New York State Class C championship title, Saturday, Nov. 12, out of 11 teams.
Patrick Hazlitt led the Senecas in third place individually (16:00.2). Shawn Rutledge finished sixth (16:31.7), while Gabe Planty was eighth (16:35.7). Samuel Hanley placed 12th (16:41.1). Aaron Planty was 18th (16:45.2). Sean Holland took 33rd (17:15.7) and Jacob Carocci was 40th (17:21.7).
For the girls, Kai Sutterby was 28th overall (20:16.0).
